Our read
We project him for 30 points in about 5 games this season, and that's not a typo on the games. He played 5 of 17 last year, none of the misses were injury, so the other 12 were healthy weeks where Steichen and Jim Bob Cooter simply chose someone else. He didn't even see his first snap until week 8, and he played only 42.6% of the snaps even when he was active. That's the shape of this: a sixth-round pick from 2025 who couldn't get on the field in a season where the Colts won 8 games and his own coach didn't turn to him.
The production when he did play won't tempt you. 5.9 points a game, one week above the position's median, a best of 20.9 in week 18 and a worst of -2. He took 2 touches all season with just one inside the ten. Half of those touches came inside the red zone, which is the only thing he did at a high level, and it still added up to almost nothing. The touchdown share sits at 1.0x, worth -0.7 a game, which is a polite way of saying he isn't finishing drives even when he's out there. Richardson sits ahead of him and Daniel Jones sits ahead of Richardson, so the path to snaps runs through two names, not one.
Drafters take him around pick 355, which is a late flier spot, and honestly it's still earlier than I'd spend a pick. Our board has him QB56. In anything shallower than a super-deep league, let him go and pick a backup QB with a clearer road to starts.
