Our read
The role is the story here: 3.4-yard average depth of target, WR210 among 223 qualifiers, and one red-zone touch all of last season. He caught his way into a utility job, not a scoring one, and nothing on this depth chart suggests that changes. Garrett Wilson has the top spot, Adonai Mitchell and Omar Cooper Jr. sit ahead of him, and this is the same coaching staff from 2025, so the pecking order that kept him at 36.5% of snaps stays in place.
The offense around him is the second problem. Vegas posted the Jets at 5.5 wins after a three-win season, and the crowded target room plus that weak team outlook cost him about 1.7 points a game combined on our math. He averaged 4.7 points a game in 2025 and scored over the weekly median in only 5 of 10 games. That is a depth piece on a bad offense, not a weekly starter.
To his credit, he climbed from 0.33 points a game in 2024 to 4.67 last year, and his target share jumped from 1.1% to 14.5%, so the trajectory points the right way. But he never cleared 15 points in any week and his season high was 11.3 in week 15. We put him at 50 points, WR125 overall, and drafters take him around pick 302. That is fair. Take him only in the deepest leagues as a final-round stash, and let him go otherwise.
