Our read
Nothing on this sheet gets him on a draft board. He's third among Denver tight ends behind Evan Engram, and the usage shows what that job pays: 32.9% snap share, a 4.9% target share, and an average depth of target of 3.2 yards, which is blocking-tight-end territory. Last season he turned that into 2.8 points a game over six weeks, with a single week above the position median and a best of 10.3 points in week 6. Two red-zone touches all year, one touch inside the ten, and 48 receiving yards total. That's the whole 2025 résumé.
Then there's the availability problem, and it's the real downside. The knee landed him on the report as Out from week 17 on, and he played 6 of 17 games in 2025 after playing just 5 in 2023. Our projection counts on 13 games this season, with a realistic range of 6 to 17 once injury risk is in. Even at the healthy end, 39 points for the season, TE91 on our board, is nothing you can start.
He has no ADP on file, and in this case that's accurate rather than a steal waiting to happen. Denver went 14-1... wait, 14 wins last year, Sean Payton is back calling the plays, and the win total sits at 9.5, so the team is fine. He isn't the reason. Don't draft him. If Engram goes down and Adkins starts running real routes, that's the only scenario where he matters, and you can pick him up off waivers then.
