Our read

The depth chart is the whole case here. He's listed fourth among PIT quarterbacks behind Aaron Rodgers and Mason Rudolph, so any points he gives you this year come only if the season breaks open ahead of him. We project 43 total points, and the middle range runs 16 to 69, which is the spread of a guy whose season depends on someone else's bad week, not his own play.

The games number is the real downside and it's printed right on the page: 4 expected, with a range of 0 to 11 once injury risk is in. He's a 22.5-year-old rookie taken at pick 76, and Mike McCarthy plus a new play caller in Brian Angelichio means the whole offense is learning together. The offense itself ran 59% of situation-neutral plays as passes last year at 35.2 seconds a play, so it's not a pace or split that would suddenly demand a rookie's arm. Vegas posted PIT at 8.5 wins, and that's off a 10-win 2025, so nobody is forecasting a collapse that forces him onto the field early.

The call: at ADP 334 he costs you nothing but a roster spot, and there's exactly one player left in his tier before a 3.5-point cliff. I'd only draft him in a super-deep league where I can stash a QB48 and wait on Rodgers' age to matter. In anything shallower, let him go. There are arms going near the same pick with a real path to starting weeks 1 through 17, and that's what a bench quarterback spot is for.
