Our read
The depth chart is the whole story here. He's listed second among Atlanta's quarterbacks behind Tua Tagovailoa, and he's carrying an O designation as of September 9th. That's not a guy you're drafting to start, that's a guy you're drafting to stash and hope the situation breaks open.
When he did play last year, the numbers were fine but not exciting. 13.2 points a game over 9 weeks, above the position's weekly median in just 4 of them, with a best week of 24 back in week 1. He did show real growth year over year, jumping from 8.82 points a game in 2024 to 13.22 in 2025. That's the case for him: a first-round pick in year three, in a new offense under Kevin Stefanski and Tommy Rees, who looked better the last time he was on the field. Atlanta's own Vegas win total sits at just 7.5 this season, and the offense ran 33.5 seconds a play with 55% of situation-neutral plays passing in 2025. He cleared 15 points in only 3 of those 9 weeks, and his worst was 3.78.
But we only expect 6 games from him this year, with a realistic range of 0 to 13 once injury risk is factored in, and 2025 ended after week 11 with him on the reserve list from week 12 on. Our number puts him at 51 points, QB42 overall. There's a 4.9-point cliff behind him in the tier, so if you do want a stash, take him a few picks after his ADP of 286 and no earlier. In most formats I'd just let him go.
